East Rochester Union Free School District to host vaccine clinic East Rochester, NY - East Rochester Union Free School District is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic, in collaboration with the Village of East Rochester and Monroe One BOCES, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Walk-in vaccinations will be provided for Monroe County residents who have not yet received one. Those who prefer an appointment can schedule one through Monroe County Department of Health online or by calling the Monroe County Covid 19 Hotline at (585)-753-5555. In accordance with Monroe County Department of Health requirements, and to provide adequate social distancing, the clinic will allow for up to 60 individuals each hour. Parking will be available on site. Individuals must provide identification upon arrival. Individuals under the age of 18 must also be accompanied by a parent. After receiving the vaccination, individuals will receive their vaccination card with a follow-up date for their second shot and will be asked to remain on site for 15-30 minutes for monitoring. The district will have healthcare representatives from Monroe County on site to assist with any post-vaccination symptoms that may arise.

Job Opportunity: Seasonal Part-Time Crossing Guard

The East Rochester Police Department is looking to fill Seasonal Part-Time Crossing guards. 

As a school crossing guard, you get the personal sense of job satisfaction as you safeguard school children walking across busy intersections on their way to and from school. 

Candidates should be patient, caring, compassionate and put the safety of others at the forefront of all they do. 
School crossing guards oversee and control traffic flow around our schools in the morning and at the end of each school day. 
The school crossing guard position requires the ability to stand outside at an assigned post for periods no less than a half hour and up to an hour in all types of weather. Punctuality and consistency in fulfilling the scheduled duty times is paramount to success.

The ideal candidate would be available for both morning and afternoon shifts. Prior to appointment, prospective candidates must pass a qualifying medical examination, which includes drug screening, and a character/background investigation. 
The position offers a competitive wage and benefits package.
