Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a group of dynamic and caring volunteers that provides support to the library through fundraising and other projects. The Friends group is responsible for running the Book Nook, regularly provide craft supplies for our children’s programs, and much more. New members are welcome at any time!

Mission

The mission of the Friends of the East Rochester Public Library is to raise money and public awareness in the community to support the services and programs of the Library. As a for-profit, sole proprietorship, the Friends are a legally distinct entity and are not part of the Library.

Projects

Book Nook

The Friends of the Library now have their very own Book Nook. A long awaited goal, the Book Nook comfortably stores and sells the ample supply of used books the Friends sell to finance the gifts and programs they provide to the library.

Book Nook Hours

Monday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wednesday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Saturdays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Donations

Donations are accepted at any time and can be dropped off at the library. Book sale donations should be in relatively good condition. Please no encyclopedias, text books, National Geographics, Readers Digest condensed books, VHS tapes, or outdated travel guides. Donations should be in boxes or bags for storage.

Magazine Exchange Rack

Drop off your old magazines once you’ve finished reading them or pick up a free magazine from someone else.
